At the back of the golf course is the urbanization that gives it its name. Medina Elvira was, back in 2008, the jewel in the crown of the thriving urbanism of Atarfe. But a lot of thingns went wrong. Of 3,500 planned homes, only the works of 990 began, 430 were completed and they had only 45 owners, of which only six have them as their first home. In 2012, the entire urbanization was left to its fate. Today there's a few people living in the area, and a school which is actually up and running.
